Kaparoona River (Meander River) depicts the quiet morning waterways of Uncle Nick’s hometown, a moment from the artist’s childhood. Before school Uncle Nick would dive into the cold streams, briefly interrupting a moment of total silence and solitude. After school, his grandmother would take him fishing on that same river, collecting perch and salmon. Uncle Nick describes memories along Kaparoona river as moments of hidden peace.
