Kevin Williams is a descendant of the Waradjuri people, and was born in Narrandera, NSW. As a young boy he learnt the skills of making boomerangs from his Father and Grandfather. His interest in painting started when he was young, when he would sit and watch his Mother paint. What has developed through his work over the years, is an ability to be able to capture the natural characteristics of the land, native Australian animals, our environment, and then combine them together with the markings and symbols of the Waradjuri.
Kevin has handcrafted this wooden puzzle in the shape of the Echidna, with symbolic marking painted on in the form of the spear, the murray cod and the platypus. Measuring 55cm x 30 cm.
