Kevin is a Waradjuri Artist and was born and raised on the Sandhill in Narrandera NSW and have been a working Artist for well over 40 years. He is internationally renowned and has exhibited locally, Nationally and Internationally.
He tells the story of this painting:
"The Yorta Yorta people call the Murray River Dhungala and they call the Murray Cod Pondi. Their story of the creation of the Murray River is of an Elder with the walking cane she walked across the land and carved out the Murray River - Dhungala to allow the Mountain waters to flow and for the Pondi to swim the river. Here we see the Pondi as they journey to and from the waterhole along the Murray River Dhungala"
